CHASING AFTER ME

chasing after me is written based on my experience and love I have for the water. Living by the water or the beach has always been something I’ve dreamed of. There is something about the water that has always had this magnetic pull on me. I currently still live in belton, but I know one day I will be by the water.

Fun Fact: On the first day of 2024, my friend Lauren and I woke up to catch the sunrise on pier in Corpus Christi. As we were taking in this moment, words started to pour out about how we felt towards the water.

Lauren is an amazing writer and has a way with words. This is the third song that we have had the chance to write together. I always enjoy the opportunities to collaborate with her. She has this way of enhancing my writing style and taking my mind to places I didn’t know it could go.
